Director of the Transformers, Michael Bay revealed that Paramount has 14 sequel ideas. One of the sequels could be coming up pretty sooner than we think.

Recently, at a recent event, a special fan screening of the preview footage from Transformers: The Last Knight was held where Michael Bay mentioned that they have plans for 14 other Transformers movies. One of the 14 is the upcoming Transformers: The Last Knight for which Bay appeared on a pre-recorded intro and revealed the news of the new story ideas. He stated that the sequels evolved out of the development process of the current film. Even though he previously mentioned that the current movie will be his last film in the Transformers franchise, he also stated that one of the 14 stories they developed might have caught his interest on returning to do a Transformers Spinoff.

It's expected that these tales will include sequels as well as spin-offs such as the dedicated Bumblebee film which is set to be directed by Travis Knight. Michael also elaborated that the ideas had been outlined in the writer's room during a development process designed to "lay the groundwork for the future of the series."

The 14 movies could expand the franchise further with new characters and even exploring beyond Earth. If Paramount takes on this new idea, Transformers could once again hit the word with outstanding work.

The upcoming movie, Transformers: The Last Knight will be released on the 23rd of June.
