Turns out, Bond 25 will finally have Daniel Craig to play his ultimate role in the final movie. After talking about how he’d slash his wrist rather than doing the final Bond movie, sources say that he’s ready to sign on to return as 007.

 Bond bosses seem to have persuaded Craig just enough to do one final movie with him until someone else takes over.

Sources also state Daniel was very pleased about to the turn of events and is finally going the right direction with Barbara Broccoli. Even the screenwriting duo Neal Purvis and Robert Wade who previously wrote other Bond movies mentioned that they’re writing and that they’ll get into production only after Daniel is ready to commit.

If Craig agrees to return, the studios could start bidding to distribute the upcoming movie and the rest of the future Bond movies. The only thing left now for Bond 25 is to find a new director for Craig’s fifth and final movie.

Sam Mendes won’t be returning for a third film, but with Craig in hand and potentially a new studio as well, this should become one of the biggest directing jobs available. Regardless of the studio and director, Craig coming back once more is a big step forward for the future of 007.
