Zayn Malik has been speaking about his decision to leave One Direction last year, and the reason he gave might surprise you.

Asked about leaving the group by Glamour, the singer's response was out of this world...

"An alien spoke to me in a dream," he revealed. Sounds a good, solid reason. 

Meanwhile, Zayn is reportedly seeking advice from Adele on how to handle his anxiety.

This comes after he pulled out of performing at the Capital Summertime Ball last month at the last minute, citing his anxiety issues.

The singer has also revealed that he's been "partying too much" recently.
