Sri Lanka’s National Blood Transfusion Service has confirmed that more than 20,000 pints of blood have been donated across the country, ensuring stable supplies for hospitals during the ongoing crisis. The surge in donations came from public volunteers, community groups, and emergency drives, helping secure essential stocks for surgeries, accident care, and emergency treatments. Authorities thanked citizens for their overwhelming support and encouraged continued donations to maintain adequate reserves.
