After a long wait, Lucasfilm dropped the first teaser trailer and key art for The Mandalorian and Grogu, set to hit theaters on May 22, 2026.
Pedro Pascal returns as Din Djarin alongside Grogu, with new faces joining the cast Sigourney Weaver plays Colonel Ward, a veteran Rebel-turned-defender of the New Republic, while Jeremy Allen White is introduced as Rotta, son of Jabba the Hutt.
Visually, the trailer leans into the nostalgia of the original Star Wars films AT ATs, space speeders, creature battles and blends in the charm audiences love from The Mandalorian series. Grogu gets some adorable moments (using a telescope, interacting with snacks via Force, etc.), balancing action and lighthearted fun.
All told, the film promises to carry forward the story of Din Djarin and Grogu in a post-Empire galaxy, as the New Republic struggles to consolidate power and tackle lingering threats.
