Earlier that day, Hathaway confirmed the sequel’s production had begun with a playful Instagram video. The film, set to release May 1, 2026, will follow Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep) navigating a changing industry, while Emily Blunt’s character now runs a luxury brand. Filming will also take place in Italy.
