Pedro Pascal is speaking out after facing backlash for being "too old" to play Reed Richards in The Fantastic Four: First Steps. At 50, the actor told AP News he felt the pressure of fan expectations more than usual.

“I think my nerves were bigger than they usually are,” Pedro admitted. “But the only way to meet expectations is to give it all—my focus, heart, body, and soul.”

Despite usually ignoring online negativity, he said this role hit differently because of the passion fans have for the character. “It comes with the territory,” he added.
