Years after calling off their engagement, Nikki Garcia is opening up about her first face-to-face with John Cena — and it wasn’t exactly smooth.

Speaking on Honestly Cavallari: The Podcast Tour, the WWE star recalled bumping into Cena at the 2025 Royal Rumble, where he appeared with his wife, Shay Shariatzadeh. “He came to shake everyone’s hand,” Garcia shared. “It was very quick… out of respect.”

The exes got engaged at WrestleMania 33 in 2017 but ended things a year later over differing views on having children, a topic well-documented on Total Bellas.

Since then, Cena married Shariatzadeh in 2020, while Nikki welcomed a son with Artem Chigvintsev in 2020. The pair divorced in 2024, following a brief custody battle.

Now single again, Nikki says she’s open to love — but not rushing it. “I can definitely see myself falling in love again,” she told Us Weekly. “I don’t think it’ll be anytime soon.”
