'THE BOYS' STAR ERIN MORIARTY REVEALS GRAVES’ DISEASE DIAGNOSIS

Erin Moriarty is opening up about a personal health battle. The 30-year-old actress, known for her roles in The Boys and Jessica Jones, revealed on Instagram that she has been diagnosed with Graves’ disease, an autoimmune disorder that causes the thyroid to become overactive.

In her post, Moriarty reflected on her journey, writing, “A month ago, I was diagnosed with Graves’ disease. Within 24 hours of beginning treatment, I felt the light coming back on.” She urged followers to listen to their bodies and not dismiss persistent symptoms. “If yours is dimming, even slightly, go get checked… You deserve to be comfy.”

Graves’ disease can lead to serious health issues if left untreated, affecting the heart, bones, and overall energy levels. Moriarty’s openness adds to a growing list of celebrities—including Daisy Ridley—raising awareness about the condition and encouraging early diagnosis and care.
