Justin Baldoni isn’t backing down after a judge dismissed his $400 million defamation lawsuit against Blake Lively. The Jane the Virgin star, 40, had filed the suit following Lively’s sexual harassment accusations related to their time filming It Ends With Us. Despite the court’s dismissal, Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, insists the battle is far from over.
"While the Court dismissed defamation claims, we’ve been invited to amend four others," Freedman said on June 10, promising new evidence and refined allegations.
Meanwhile, Lively celebrated her legal victory at the Chanel Tribeca Festival Artists Dinner, radiating confidence. Her team called the ruling a "total victory," accusing Baldoni’s suit of being a “sham.”
Lively also addressed the situation on Instagram, expressing gratitude for the support and recommitting to advocacy for women facing similar legal retaliation.
Baldoni now has until June 23 to refile his amended complaint.
