Scarlett Johansson is shedding light on the unique challenges of dating outside the entertainment industry. In a new Interview with Stranger Things star David Harbour, the actress revealed that relationships with non-actors have sometimes sparked jealousy.

“Actors by nature are very free-spirited and they create very intimate relationships with people at work,” Johansson, 40, explained. “It can be a blurry line for some people.”

She noted that outsiders often struggle to understand the demands of acting, and that public relationships can add pressure. “The person had no idea of what I needed to do for my job,” she said.

Johansson shares son Cosmo with husband Colin Jost and daughter Rose with ex-husband Romain Dauriac. Before marrying Jost in 2020, she was also married to Ryan Reynolds.

The actress recently attended the 2025 Cannes Film Festival for her directorial debut, Eleanor the Great, and stars next in Jurassic World Rebirth.
