Jennifer Lopez is embracing a new chapter in life, revealing plans for her first “free and happy” summer since her split from Ben Affleck. The 55-year-old superstar is set to headline WorldPride in Washington, D.C., this June and couldn’t be more excited.
“I’m ready to get out there and make people sing and dance,” Lopez told People. “It seems like a perfect summer to celebrate being free and being happy.”
In addition to Pride Month performances, J.Lo is preparing for a new tour and hopes to bring her 17-year-old twins, Emme and Max, to select shows. However, they’ll skip the upcoming AMAs due to school.
Lopez, who is hosting the AMAs for the first time since 2015, suffered a minor injury during rehearsals—hitting her nose and requiring stitches. Thanks to Dr. Jason Diamond, she’s healing quickly and gearing up for a summer filled with music, family, and newfound freedom.
