TAYLOR SWIFT PREMIERES “LOOK WHAT YOU MADE ME DO (TAYLOR’S VERSION)” DURING THE HANDMAID’S TALE

Taylor Swift surprised fans Monday night by debuting the re-recorded version of her 2017 hit “Look What You Made Me Do” during The Handmaid’s Tale. The track played during the opening scene of the penultimate episode, which features a powerful uprising led by Elisabeth Moss’s character, June Osborne.

The moment marked a striking return for Swift, who has been re-recording her early albums following the sale of her masters. With Fearless, Red, Speak Now, and 1989 already re-released, fans eagerly await Reputation (Taylor’s Version)—which many hoped would arrive during The Eras Tour.

Moss, who directed the episode, called the placement “perfect,” telling Billboard, “As a Swiftie myself, it’s such an honor to use her music.”

Speculation is growing that Swift will announce Reputation (Taylor’s Version) at the American Music Awards on May 26. After that, only her 2006 debut remains to be re-recorded.
