Exciting new casting rumors are swirling around Marvel’s upcoming film Spider-Man: Brand New Day. According to Jeff Sneider on The Hot Mic, Stranger Things star Sadie Sink is reportedly playing Mayday Parker—Peter Parker and Mary Jane’s daughter from Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man universe, tying directly into the multiverse storyline.

The film, set to bridge street-level action with multiversal elements, will also reportedly feature Sarah Snook (Run Rabbit Run, The Beanie Bubble) as a secondary villain. While her role remains unconfirmed, Snook’s character is rumored to have a dark, Japanese-inspired aesthetic, with costume research focused on 17th-century shinobi and samurai armor.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day begins filming in the UK in August 2025 under director Destin Daniel Cretton. The film is penned by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers and has a $200 million production budget. It swings into theaters on July 31, 2026.
