STEVIE WONDER AND USHER DAZZLE AT 2025 MET GALA CONCERT

The 2025 Met Gala reached new heights Monday night with surprise headliners Usher and Stevie Wonder lighting up the stage at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Kicking off the post-dinner performance, co-chair Colman Domingo recited a poem before introducing Usher, who energized the crowd with hits like “Yeah!” “U Don’t Have to Call,” and “OMG.”

Wonder followed, making his Met Gala debut in style. Backed by a nine-piece band, he opened with “Sir Duke” and moved through crowd favorites such as “Higher Ground” and “Isn’t She Lovely.” A singalong erupted during “Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I’m Yours),” and he closed the show with a duet with Usher on “Another Star.”

The gala celebrated Black style with the “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” theme. “We’ve created style since we were created,” Wonder said. “Music, dance, love—it’s who we are.”
