BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN PRAISES STEPHEN GRAHAM’S ROLE IN ‘DELIVER ME FROM NOWHERE’

Bruce Springsteen is praising actor Stephen Graham for his powerful performance as Springsteen’s father in the upcoming movie Deliver Me from Nowhere.Speaking on The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast, the rock legend said the film explores the early 1980s, when he was crafting his iconic Nebraska album.

Springsteen applauded the cast, including Jeremy Allen White as himself, Jeremy Strong as manager Jon Landau, and Odessa Young. “I want it to be a surprise,” he said, avoiding too many details but confirming he enjoyed seeing parts of his youth recreated.

The film, directed by Scott Cooper and adapted from Warren Zanes’ book, debuted footage at CinemaCon 2025. Strong described the Springsteen-Landau dynamic as “Lewis to Bruce’s Clark.”

Also starring Paul Walter Hauser, Marc Maron, and Gaby Hoffmann, the film promises a raw, emotional dive into Springsteen’s life and music.
