Newlywed Geri Halliwell has taken her husband's last name following their wedding last week.  

She wed Formula 1 boss Christian Horner in a traditional ceremony at St. Mary's Church in Woburn, Bedfordshire last Friday and Geri, 42, has already changed her name on her Instagram and Twitter pages.

The couple jetted off to the South of France for their honeymoon, arriving in Cannes first before heading to Monaco on Thursday.

Geri has been sharing her wedding and honeymoon excitement with her social media followers, posting pictures on Twitter and Instagram as she enjoys her first week as Mrs Horner. 

On Thursday the couple went sailing and Geri shared a video of them cuddling up together on a boat. 

No details have been left out, from the couple enjoying a game of chess to their balcony breakfast being interrupted by a bird. 

However, the couple's trip to Monaco is not entirely all play and no work as Christian has some business to take care of. 

He is the Team Principal of the Infiniti Red Bull Racing Formula One team and is no doubt keen to keep up with the action from this weekend's Grand Prix. 

The event takes place over four days from May 21 to May 24 and it's likely the couple will check in over the weekend. 

And Geri doesn't seem to mind, retweeting a jokey tweet about Christian. 

When a Twitter follower wrote to her, 'Christian says he's "technically on honeymoon". He must have a very forgiving wife :)' she shared the message with her followers.

Meanwhile, on Monday the couple spent the day by their pool in Cannes. 

 The star joked she had been indulging incarb-heavy treats during her romantic getaway, while displaying her toned stomach in a leopard print bikini. 

Geri shared a snap of herself flashing a peace sign as she plunged into her hotel pool, alongside the caption, 'Breath in Mrs H (sic)'.

'Just had the spag bol', she enthused, throwing caution to the wind as she ditched her diet for the week.

The yoga-loving star needn't have worried, however, since she was looking slim as ever in her eye-catching two piece. 

Geri is radiating happiness following her fairytale wedding to Christian, for which she donned a stunning, long-sleeved lace dress designed by Phillipa Lepley.

The redhead's nine-year-old daughter Bluebell walked her down the aisle, as well as her former bandmate Emma Bunton's sons Beau, seven,  and Tate, four, and Mel B's youngest daughter, three-year-old Madison.
