Lil Nas X has given fans a hopeful update after experiencing partial facial paralysis earlier this week. The rapper was briefly hospitalized and posted a video in a hospital gown, revealing he had "lost control" of the right side of his face.

In a new Instagram Stories update, Lil Nas X showed signs of improvement, noting he’s regained movement in the lower half of his face. Chewing gum on camera to strengthen facial muscles, he said, “It’s much better!”

Although his left eye still “needs to play catch-up,” the rapper shared, “I can give a genuine smile, so that’s good!”

Lil Nas X isn’t alone in this experience — Justin Bieber also suffered from facial paralysis in 2022 and has since fully recovered.

Meanwhile, Lil Nas X recently dropped his Days Before Dreamboy EP, following the release of the lead single “Light Again” late last year.
