KATY PERRY & ALL-FEMALE CREW SOAR TO SPACE IN HISTORIC BLUE ORIGIN FLIGHT
Pop superstar Katy Perry joined an all-female crew for a groundbreaking Blue Origin spaceflight on Monday, marking the first all-woman mission to space since 1963. Launching from western Texas, the 10-minute trip carried the group beyond the Karman line — the edge of space — and back safely to Earth via parachute.
The crew included Bezos’s fiancée Lauren Sanchez, TV host Gayle King, engineer Aisha Bowe, activist Amanda Nguyen, and producer Kerianne Flynn. Oprah Winfrey watched from the ground.
“It’s oddly quiet up there,” said King. “You look down and think, ‘That’s where we came from?’ It’s humbling.”
Katy brought a daisy in honor of her daughter, Daisy, and said the flight was to inspire her to dream without limits. “I feel super connected to love,” she shared.
