AIMEE LOU WOOD SLAMS SNL FOR “MEAN AND UNFUNNY” PORTRAYAL IN WHITE LOTUS SKETCH
Aimee Lou Wood has called out Saturday Night Live for its portrayal of her White Lotus character in the April 12 sketch, The White Potus. The parody featured politicians escaping U.S. tariffs at a luxury resort, with Jon Hamm playing RFK Jr. and SNL cast member Sarah Sherman portraying Aimee’s character, Chelsea.

In the sketch, Sherman wore exaggerated prosthetic teeth and delivered a line in a Manchester accent that Aimee felt missed the mark. The actress took to Instagram, calling the moment “mean and unfunny,” and added, “There must be a cleverer, more nuanced, less cheap way.”

Aimee criticized the inaccurate accent and pointed out that she was the only non-political figure mocked. She also called the jabs at her appearance “uncalled for.”

Since speaking out, Aimee received thousands of supportive messages and an apology from SNL. Just last month, she spoke proudly about embracing her natural teeth in Hollywood.
