Sean "Diddy" Combs' legal team has raised serious claims regarding a CNN video that allegedly shows him assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, in 2016. The legal filing asserts that CNN edited the footage, purchased from the only known copy, and destroyed the original. They claim the video was altered, with changes to the sequence, time stamp, and even speeding up the footage, making it appear more violent than it was.

CNN, however, denies the allegations, stating that they never altered the video and that the original footage was retained by the source. Combs' team plans to file a motion to exclude the edited video from his upcoming trial, scheduled for May. Combs is currently incarcerated awaiting trial on charges including racketeering and sex trafficking.
