Sadie Sink, Stranger Things star, will join Tom Holland in the next Spider-Man movie. Sources confirm her role will be significant, though the character remains unannounced. It’s speculated she could play X-Men’s Jean Grey, or another redhead from Spider-Man lore.

Production is slated for later this year, with Destin Daniel Cretton directing and Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal producing. Holland will reprise his role as Peter Parker after completing The Odyssey with Christopher Nolan.

For Sink, this follows the end of Stranger Things, which just wrapped its final season. She’ll also appear in John Proctor Is the Villain, a Broadway play opening April 4, and O'Dessa, a musical that premiered at SXSW. The film will be released on Hulu next week. Fans are eager to see Sink take on this new major role in the Spider-Man universe.
