Ariana Grande is facing accusations of copying Jhene Aiko’s album cover ahead of her new album release, Eternal Sunshine Deluxe: Brighter Days Ahead, set for March 28. Fans quickly noticed the striking resemblance between Grande's cover and Aiko's Eternal Sunshine, released six years ago. The similarity has sparked debate, with some questioning if it's plagiarism or just an homage.
Supporters suggest both covers could have been inspired by the 2004 film Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, which explores themes of healing. However, others have criticized the timing, as Aiko had shared a message about Eternal Sunshine on the same day Grande announced her album.
The controversy highlights the visual parallels—Aiko’s peaceful image of a woman reaching for sunlight, compared to Grande’s darker version, leaving fans to debate if it’s a case of inspiration or appropriation.
