Kate Cassidy, 25, recently shared her struggles with grief following the tragic passing of One Direction star Liam Payne at 31. During an emotional interview on Lorraine, she revealed that referring to Liam in the past tense is still painful.

"I find myself talking about him in the present tense... it’s part of my healing journey,” she said, admitting that acceptance remains difficult.

Kate described her grief as a new and challenging experience, adding, “Sometimes it’s hard for me to get out of bed.” She credited her dog, Nala, who she shared with Liam, for helping her cope. Taking daily walks with Nala has been a positive routine, improving her mental health.

She also expressed gratitude for her supportive friends and family and shared, “I’ll always have so much love for him... His presence was comforting and warming.”
