Jack Nicholson, 87, made a rare public appearance at Saturday Night Live’s 50th anniversary show to introduce his friend Adam Sandler. The iconic actor, who retired from acting in 2010 after How Do You Know, has largely stayed out of the spotlight in recent years. Nicholson, who starred with Sandler in Anger Management (2003), looked healthy during his cameo. Though he hasn’t acted in 15 years, his legendary career remains highly respected, with roles in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, The Shining, Chinatown, Batman, and more. He’s won three Oscars from 10 nominations, the most for any male actor, including Best Actor for Cuckoo’s Nest (1975) and As Good As It Gets (1997). Nicholson also won Best Supporting Actor for Terms of Endearment (1983). His work continues to be celebrated, making him one of the greatest actors in film history.
