EAGLES DOMINATE CHIEFS 38-14 TO WIN SECOND SUPER BOWL, AVENGE 2023 LOSS

The Philadelphia Eagles dominated the Kansas City Chiefs to win their second Super Bowl in franchise history. The Eagles' defense stifled Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs' offense, with Mahomes enduring six sacks, 11 hits, and two interceptions. The Chiefs didn’t score until late in the third quarter. Jalen Hurts excelled, passing for 221 yards, rushing for 72 yards (setting a Super Bowl record for a QB), and contributing three touchdowns. Rookie Cooper DeJean added a 38-yard touchdown, and Hurts threw a 12-yard touchdown to A.J. Brown after a pick by linebacker Zack Baum. DeVonta Smith’s 46-yard touchdown in the third quarter sealed the win. Mahomes threw two touchdowns in garbage time, but the Eagles’ 38-14 victory was never in doubt. Philadelphia’s defense and Hurts’ leadership led them to avenge their 2023 Super Bowl loss to the Chiefs, securing the championship in New Orleans.
