ED SHEERAN ADDRESSES POLICE SHUTDOWN OF STREET PERFORMANCE IN BENGALURU DURING MATHEMATICS TOUR

Ed Sheeran recently addressed a street concert incident in Bengaluru, India, where police shut down his performance. On February 9, Sheeran, who is touring as part of his Mathematics tour, performed a surprise busking session in the city. After a fan-captured video showed an officer unplugging his microphone, Sheeran reassured fans on Instagram, explaining that they had permission to perform at the spot. Despite the interruption, he remained positive, telling the crowd, “We had permission to do this, but this policeman is shutting it down.” Fans still enjoyed the impromptu serenade. Sheeran, who was in the middle of two shows in Bengaluru, later posted a backstage photo ahead of his second concert. During his India visit, he also shared highlights, including a sitar lesson and time spent with A. R. Rahman. Sheeran recently made history as the first international artist to perform in Bhutan, marking a milestone in his tour.
