Disney’s live-action Lilo & Stitch is set for release on May 23, 2025, featuring a fresh cast. Maia Kealoha, in her debut role, will play Lilo, while Stitch’s voice will be reprised by Chris Sanders, who also co-directed the original film. Sydney Agudong, born in Hawaii, will portray Nani, with Kaipot Dudoit playing her love interest, David. Billy Magnussen will voice Pleakley, and Zac Galifianakis takes on Dr. Jumba. Other notable castings include Hannah Waddingham as Grand Councilwoman, Courtney B. Vance as Cobra Bubbles, and Tia Carrere in a special role. Amy Hill will reprise her role as Tutu, while Jason Scott Lee makes a cameo. Missing from the cast are several characters from the original, including villain Dr. Hämsterviel. The film promises to bring the beloved 2002 animated classic to life, with a focus on Hawaiian culture and new character dynamics.
