SQUID GAME SEASON 2 WILL BE BLOODIER AND FUNNIER, DIRECTOR HINTS AT SHOCKING SEQUENCE AND NEW TWISTS
Squid Game season 2 is just around the corner, and director Hwang Dong-Hyuk is teasing fans with what's to come. In a recent interview with The Guardian, Hwang revealed that the new season will feature even more bloodshed than the first, but with an unexpected twist—more humor. Actor Lee Jung-jae, who portrays Seong Gi-hun, admitted that after so much fake blood in season 1, he's become desensitized to it, though he acknowledges both seasons are extremely bloody. Hwang confirmed the increased violence but assured fans that comical moments would also play a role in the intense narrative. The director also hinted at a shocking sequence early in the season involving Gi-hun and The Salesman (played by Gong Yoo), teasing fans with a cryptic remark about the reaction it will provoke. Fans can expect a thrilling, bloody, and unexpectedly humorous return to the deadly world of Squid Game.
