The film’s success has led to Disney announcing a live-action remake, with The Greatest Showman director Michael Gracey reportedly in negotiations to helm the project, as confirmed by Deadline. While Disney has not yet revealed the plot, it’s expected that the live-action version will closely mirror the animated film's storyline, as seen in other live-action remakes by the studio.

Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, who has written the latest draft of the script, is also working on the reboot of I Know What You Did Last Summer. While casting details have yet to be announced, the live-action Tangled is eagerly anticipated by fans of the original film.
