Lamine Yamal Makes History as 2024 Golden Boy Winner
Barcelona's Lamine Yamal has clinched the 2024 Golden Boy award, becoming the youngest-ever winner at just 17 years and four months. The prestigious honor, awarded to Europe's best under-21 player, was presented by Italian newspaper *Tuttosport*. Yamal triumphed over Real Madrid’s Arda Güler and PSG’s Warren Zaire-Emery.  The young winger had a stellar year, starring in Spain's Euro 2024 triumph. He was named Young Player of the Tournament, setting records as the youngest to play and score in the competition, with a crucial semifinal goal against France. Yamal also secured the Kopa Trophy at the Ballon d’Or ceremony and helped Spain defeat England 2-1 in the Euro final.  Currently shining for LaLiga leaders Barcelona, he has scored five goals in 12 games this season. Yamal follows the footsteps of Barca legends Messi, Gavi, and Pedri in winning the Golden Boy title, solidifying his rising stardom.
