Drake Claims UMG Manipulated Streams for Kendrick Lamar’s Diss Track
Drake has accused Universal Music Group (UMG) of conspiring with Spotify to artificially inflate the popularity of Kendrick Lamar's diss track *Not Like Us*. The track, which contains allegations of misconduct against Drake, became Spotify's most-streamed diss track in history.  Drake's company, Frozen Moments LLC, has filed a petition seeking "pre-action discovery" to investigate alleged bot usage and pay-to-play tactics that boosted the track's visibility. The petition claims UMG prioritized profits by saturating the market with *Not Like Us*, harming other artists, including Drake.  Efforts by Drake to resolve the issue directly with UMG were reportedly ignored. UMG denied the accusations, calling them "contrived" and insisting on their ethical practices.  This legal move marks a new chapter in Drake and Kendrick's ongoing feud, following a series of diss tracks released earlier this year. Drake's petition aims to identify those responsible before proceeding with formal litigation.
