Janet Jackson and Eminem are in the spotlight as nominees for the 2025 Songwriters Hall of Fame. Announced on Tuesday, this year's contenders highlight celebrated lyricists and composers across genres, honoring those with at least 20 years since their first major release. Joining Jackson ("All for You") and Eminem ("Without Me") in the performing songwriters category are renowned artists like Bryan Adams, Boy George, Sheryl Crow, Alanis Morissette, Dr. Dre, and members of N.W.A. Non-performing nominees include Mariah Carey’s collaborator Walter Afanasieff, Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins, and songwriting duos like Steve Barri & P.F. Sloan. Voting is open until December 22, with the induction ceremony slated for 2025 in New York City. Under the chairmanship of Nile Rodgers since 2017, the Hall of Fame continues its mission to honor songwriting excellence across musical eras and styles.
