Ariana Grande Honors Childhood with Full Name in *Wicked* Credits
Ariana Grande recently revealed why her full name, Ariana Grande-Butera, appears in the credits of her upcoming movie, *Wicked*. The singer, who plays Glinda in the Jon M. Chu-directed adaptation, explained in an interview with Hit 104.7 Canberra that she chose to use her full name as a nod to her younger self. Recalling that she used the name Grande-Butera as a child, she described it as her "little girl name." Ariana shared that taking on the role of Glinda felt like a “homecoming,” helping her reconnect with herself in meaningful ways. She first saw *Wicked* on stage when she was 10 years old, using the name Grande-Butera at the time, which inspired her decision to honor that memory. The much-anticipated *Wicked - Part 1* is set to release in theaters on November 22, with Part 2 planned for November 2025.
