Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre Set December Release for New Album 'Missionary'
Snoop Dogg has announced that his new album *Missionary*, produced by Dr. Dre, will be released on December 13. The news came via a playful Instagram video in which two young Mormon missionaries appear at the door of a woman in lingerie, humorously referencing the album’s title. Dr. Dre, who also produced Snoop’s 1993 debut album *Doggystyle*, shared that *Missionary* will bring a “different level of maturity” to both his production and Snoop’s lyrics, calling it some of his best work yet. The duo reportedly disagrees on the track count, with Dr. Dre preferring 14 songs while Snoop wants 16. Snoop, who originally mentioned the album in 2022 as a “30th anniversary to *Doggystyle*,” aims to bring a fresh perspective to his classic sound. Upon release, *Doggystyle* became a hip-hop milestone, establishing Snoop’s influence and solidifying his partnership with Dr. Dre.
