Qatar Unveils World's First Self-Sufficient Floating Luxury Hotel

Qatar has introduced the world's first luxury floating hotel, the Eco-Floating Hotel, designed by Hayri Atak Architectural Design Studio (HAADS). Situated off the coast, this innovative 35,000-square-meter resort uses wind, solar, and tidal energy to achieve complete self-sufficiency. The hotel’s unique feature is its ability to rotate 360 degrees every 24 hours, providing guests with continually changing views. Accessible by car, boat, helicopter, or drone, the Eco-Floating Hotel offers 152 rooms and world-class amenities such as indoor and outdoor pools, a spa, gym, sauna, and mini-golf. The resort's dynamic positioning system ensures stability, while its 140-degree pier and three entrances provide easy mainland access. Committed to zero-waste principles, the hotel minimizes energy loss and sets a new benchmark for sustainable tourism. Inspired by similar projects in Dubai and New York, it reflects Qatar's innovative approach to blending luxury with environmental responsibility.
