Pharrell Williams to Co-Chair 2024 Met Gala

Pharrell Williams has been announced as one of the co-chairs for next year’s Met Gala, scheduled for May 5, 2024. The renowned singer and designer will join Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton, rapper ASAP Rocky, and actor Colman Domingo in overseeing the star-studded event. Vogue's editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour, will lead the gala, with basketball icon LeBron James serving as an honorary chair. The event will coincide with the Metropolitan Museum of Art's spring exhibition, *Superfine: Tailoring Black Style*, which highlights the fashion of Black men and the tradition of Black dandyism. The theme is inspired by Monica Miller's book *Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity*. Known as one of the world’s most glamorous fashion events, the Met Gala is an annual fundraiser for the Costume Institute at the Met in Manhattan. The dress code, usually tied to the theme, will be announced in early 2024.
