If sales continue at this rate, *Moon Music* could surpass Taylor Swift’s 2024 record of 270,000 copies for *The Tortured Poets Department*. Coldplay’s 10th studio album is part of a 12-album plan, after which the band intends to stop recording studio albums. Chris Martin explained their decision, citing a desire for quality over quantity: “There’s only seven Harry Potters. There’s only 12 and a half Beatles albums. Having that limit means the quality control is so high.”
