Kendrick Lamar has been confirmed as the headliner for the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show, set to take place in New Orleans on February 9. The rapper announced the news through a YouTube video, where he stood on a football field, declaring, "My name is Kendrick Lamar, and I'll be performing at Super Bowl LIX." Apple Music and the NFL confirmed Lamar's involvement, with the league sharing a promotional poster featuring Lamar on a football field. Lamar emphasized the significance of rap in his statement, saying, "Rap music is still the most impactful genre... I'll be there to remind the world why." NFL’s head of music, Seth Dudowsky, praised Lamar for his profound influence on both music and culture, citing his ability to craft unforgettable moments. Lamar, who has won 17 Grammy Awards, follows 2024’s headliner Usher at the prestigious event.
