Katy Perry's Label Responds to Lifetimes Music Video Filming Controversy

Katy Perry's label, Capitol Records, has addressed claims regarding environmental issues during the filming of her "Lifetimes" music video. The pop star faced scrutiny after it was reported that her team had filmed on Spain's Balearic Islands without proper authorization, prompting an investigation by local authorities. The Balearic Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and the Environment stated that while the incident wasn’t a "crime against the environment," it violated local regulations due to the lack of necessary permits.

Capitol Records responded, asserting they believed all required permits were secured by the local video production company. They explained that verbal approval had been granted prior to filming, and an official permit was already in process. The label emphasized their commitment to following regulations and respecting the location. "Lifetimes" is part of Perry's upcoming seventh album, *143*, set for release on September 20.
