Drake has admitted that his 2016 song "Too Good" was inspired by tennis star Serena Williams. Long rumored to have dated, Drake, whose real name is Aubrey Graham, nearly confirmed their past romance in a social media video where he discussed his musical inspirations with his mother, Sandi Graham.

"I get heavy on a couple joints, but this is more about me and Serena," he said, referencing the track. Drake explained that he prefers writing positive songs about women he's dated, aiming to create something they would enjoy.

"I know Serena very well and she'll hear it loud and clear, but she'll also not hate me for it because it's lighthearted," he added.
