Billy Ray Cyrus and Firerose have finalised their divorce after less than 12 months of marriage. Billy filed for divorce in May, citing "irreconcilable differences." According to The New York Post, Firerose, 37, walked away with no financial settlement but received credits and royalties for their co-written songs.

In a statement, Billy described the situation as "the most crazy insane scam" and a "web of lies" that endangered him physically and emotionally. He claimed Firerose, whose real name is Johanna Hodges, misled him about her identity and changed her surname to Cyrus to boost her music career.

Firerose countered that Billy left her after she disclosed her need for a preventative double mastectomy. Sources told TMZ she would have proven he fabricated a narrative for public sympathy if the case went to trial. Despite the divorce finalization, tensions between the ex-couple remain high as they continue to exchange accusations.
