Travis Barker Auctions Boarding Pass to Benefit Charity After Conquering Fear of Flying

Travis Barker, the drummer of Blink-182, is auctioning off his boarding pass from a recent trip to Australia. The pass, now available for $8000 (£6220) on the auction site Trophy, is a symbol of Barker overcoming his long-standing fear of flying. The fear stemmed from a 2008 plane crash that claimed four lives, including two of his close friends, and left Barker with severe injuries.

After the crash, Barker, 48, didn't fly for 13 years. His first flight since the accident was marked by a special message on the Qantas boarding pass, where he wrote, "I know I got angels watching over me," along with a cross at the bottom. He was seated in row 7, often seen as an "angel number."

A portion of the proceeds from the auction will support the Lost But Not Forgotten charity, which aids teenagers in crisis. The auction listing describes the boarding pass as a unique piece of music memorabilia, highlighting its significance in Barker's personal journey.

Barker credits his wife, Kourtney Kardashian, with helping him overcome his fear of flying. "Kourt made it so I fly, my kids fly now. She healed us," Barker shared with the LA Times. He acknowledged the emotional toll of flying but expressed his desire not to be controlled by his past fears.

The auction offers fans a chance to own a piece of Barker's history while supporting a worthy cause.
