Lorde and Charli XCX End Feud with Collaborative Remix

Lorde has expressed her "huge honour" at ending her feud with Charli XCX through a song. The 27-year-old New Zealand singer became the target of Charli's track "Girl, So Confusing," inspired by jealousy over Lorde's chart success. The song stirred up fans, but the two artists resolved their differences by releasing a remix featuring Lorde's lyrics and vocals.

Reflecting on the remix's success, Lorde told Billboard, "It was a mix of deep empathy for my friend and the need to make things right. Writing this verse allowed me to express things to her for the first time. There was a rawness and immediacy in what I was saying. It's very meta and modern—only Charli could make that happen."

Charli, 31, wrote the original track to deal with her feelings about Lorde's success with her 2013 hit "Royals." Charli's latest album, "Brat," recently reached number 2 in the UK, number 3 in the USA, and number 4 in New Zealand.
