Billie Eilish and Finneas Reflect on Intense Creative Process
Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas revealed they had their "longest, biggest argument" while writing "Hit Me Hard and Soft" for Billie's latest album, released in May. During an interview on Hot Ones Versus, Finneas, 26, admitted the argument stemmed from their efforts to be honest in their music, with Finneas acknowledging his own egocentric approach. Billie, 22, described the recording sessions as memorable, often involving Finneas being barefoot or wearing dirty shoes, which was captured on film. Despite the challenges, their collaboration produced heartfelt music. Finneas highlighted "What Was I Made For?" from the Barbie movie as his favorite song of Billie's, noting its tender and heartbreaking quality. He cherished the experience of writing and performing it, and appreciated the warm, welcoming environment of the Barbie entourage, calling it a fun and memorable part of their journey.
