Sequel to "The Devil Wears Prada" in the Works with Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt Returning
After 18 years, a sequel to the 2006 hit film "The Devil Wears Prada" is officially in development at Disney. Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt are set to reprise their roles as Miranda Priestly and Emily Charlton, respectively. Anne Hathaway has not been confirmed to return as Andy Sachs. The original producer Wendy Finerman and screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna are attached to the project. The sequel will focus on Miranda dealing with the decline of the magazine publishing business, with Emily, now a high-powered executive, potentially bailing her out. While fans eagerly await more details, Hathaway has expressed her gratitude for the film's enduring popularity, though she doesn't see a continuation of her character's story. However, she imagines Andy now living in Paris, writing for a French women's magazine.
