Cardi B is facing a $50 million lawsuit from artists Joshua Fraustro and Miguel Aguilar, known as Kemika 1956. They claim Cardi B used their 2021 track "Greasy Frybread" in her 2024 song "Enough (Miami)" without permission. The lawsuit, filed against Cardi B, producers OG Parker and DJ SwanQo, and record companies Atlantic Records and Warner Music Group, alleges unauthorized use and distribution of their song, which has impacted their reputation and commercial prospects.
"Enough (Miami)," released in March 2024, debuted at number nine on the Billboard Hot 100 and amassed significant streams and radio plays. The track has over 30 million YouTube views. "Greasy Frybread" was originally released in November 2021 as part of the promotional material for the show Reservation Dogs. Cardi B previously stated she wouldn't release a new album this year but later hinted at new music.
