Music producer Diplo, real name Thomas Wesley Pentz, has been sued in California for allegedly disseminating explicit images and videos without consent. The lawsuit, filed by an unnamed woman referred to as Jane Doe, claims she entered into an intimate relationship with Diplo in June 2016 that lasted until October 2023. According to the filing, in November 2023, Jane Doe discovered that Diplo, 45, had distributed their private content without her permission.

In a statement to Variety, Jane Doe's legal representative Helene Weiss condemned Diplo's alleged behavior, citing a pattern of harm toward women. Another lawyer, Micha Liberty, praised Jane Doe's courage in confronting what he termed as revenge pornography, highlighting the emotional distress it causes victims. The lawsuit seeks justice for Jane Doe and aims to raise awareness about the need for systemic changes to protect survivors of such violations of privacy and trust.
