Billy Ray Cyrus Accuses Wife Firerose of Abuse Amid Divorce Battle
Billy Ray Cyrus has claimed that his estranged wife, Firerose, subjected him to physical, verbal, and emotional abuse, countering her allegations against him. The "Achy Breaky Heart" singer, 62, detailed these accusations in legal documents, supported by his manager, Scott Adkins, as a witness. Cyrus acknowledged being "vocal, frustrated, and angry" but insists he was the abused party. He also alleged that Firerose, 36, threatened to accuse him of abandoning her because she was undergoing a double mastectomy if he initiated a divorce. A representative for Firerose denied Cyrus's claims, questioning the credibility of his supporters and accusing him of cruel manipulation. Firerose, whose real name is Johanna Rose Hodges, filed her own documents stating Cyrus's verbal assaults and threats created chaos at home. Cyrus filed for divorce in May, citing irreconcilable differences and fraud, after seven months of marriage, seeking annulment over alleged lies about her last name and previous marriages.
