Elton John's New Documentary to Premiere at Toronto Film Festival
Elton John will debut his new documentary, Elton John: Never Too Late, at the Toronto Film Festival in September. The film chronicles his Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour, the first tour to gross over $900 million (£708 million). The documentary, co-directed by R.J. Cutler and John's husband, David Furnish, features unseen concert footage from the past 50 years, personal journals, and present-day moments with his family. It also covers his final U.S. shows, including his last North American performance at Dodger Stadium in November. The tour, which began in 2018, was extended to 2023 due to COVID-19, concluding with his final show in Stockholm. Reflecting on the tour, John expressed gratitude for his fans' unwavering support. Post-tour, he is focusing on his Elton John AIDS Foundation. After its Toronto premiere, the documentary will be available on Disney+ later this year.
